Taj has exhibited at Harper’s Gallery and Hercules Art Studio Program in New York City, New York, Villa Heike Gallery in Berlin, Germany, Agony Books in Richmond, Virginia, Boyden Gallery in Historic St. Mary’s, Maryland, and digitally through the Maryland State Arts Council. In addition, his images have been featured by Booooooom, Pomegranate Press, Black Mass Publishing, and other print publications.
Taj’s practice is dedicated to the liberatory potential of visual and textual language. His work focuses on sites of Black sociality through history, cultural traditions, memory, and the vernacular.
